While we can't save any image forever, there are some things that you can do to preserve your portraits, and the memories they hold, for as long as possible.
We strongly recommend that a cotton glove be worn when we handling an image to protect the paper from excess oils and acids found on skin. The materials you use to store your images should be acid-free and lignin-free with a neutral PH balance. Any framing materials used should be archival quality to prevent damage to your precious heirlooms. Also, avoid hanging your portrait in direct sunlight, or in any location where temperature or humidity are subject to rapid shifts.
Most importantly, please enjoy and treasure your irreplaceable works of art.
